We have taken a closer look on our statistics from last year. Positive IgG titers were present in approximately one-third of the dogs tested. We do of course all know that this seroconversion does not necessarily correlate with an illness. A positive IgM titer, detection of bands specific for early infections in the Western Blot (VlsE) and positive PCR results from tissue samples (synovial fluid etc.) were recorded in 4-5 % of samples tested. 15 % of ticks submitted to us for Borrelia testing yielded positive results.
