LABOKLIN GmbH was founded by Dr. Elisabeth Müller, Dr. Rüdiger Leimbeck und Prof. Dr. Bernd Sonnenschein as a successor company of the „ Institut für Darmdiagnostik Dr. Flaßhoff“ , Germany's first veterinary laboratory.
Quickly LABOKLIN gained the reputation as a lab for veterinary surgeons. At that time nobody knew that LABOKLIN would be one of the most successful veterinary laboratories in Europe. A story of success started ......
Januar 1989
Company Founder Dr. Elisabeth Müller and Dr. Anton Heusinger, Specialist for clinical pathology, are the veterinary team at LABOKLIN. Work is done, at that time as well as nowadays, in a neat old building in Prinzregentenstraße, Bad Kissingen... At the beginning five technicians and three secretaries in the office and the accounts department were dealing with more and more samples.
October 1995
Dr. Gerhard Loesenbeck, specialist in pathology, founded, as a working-group leader, the Histo-pathology section at LABOKLIN.
Januar 1997
LABOKLIN opened a new chapter:
Sex determination in birds was the first microbiological test run in this lab. Dr. rer. nat.Petra Kühnlein enhanced the diagnostic spectrum with new analysis for inherited and infectious diseases. Bless PCR !!!!
Juli 1997
LABOKLIN Linz - under a modernised logo- is the first dependence abroad. Veterinary surgeon Eva Kahnt is running the lab with her team of seven co-workers in Rosenstraße 1 right in the centre of Linz.
July 1999
LABOKLIN tries out new approaches and established a pick-up service for samples. This makes it possible for the veterinary surgeon to send in the samples in the evening and will get the final report at the next day. Since 2001 we are able to provide this service in Austria and from 2003 for Luxembourg.
January 2000
By turnover VETLab LABOKLIN is increasing its competence especially in the field of allergy diagnostics.
Dezember 2000
LABOKLIN Basel LABOKLIN Basel is the second dependence abroad of LABOKLIN GmbH&Co. KG.
To offer an optimal good service in Switzerland the lab is situated in the Lehenmattstraße 320.
October 2004
LABOKLIN in revising its internet service www.laboklin.com and offers an innovative report service. From now on it is possible via the link “veterinary practice" to track the current status of the samples and the report from all computers world wide....
Januar 2006
LABOKLIN improves the communication between the practitioners and the lab.
Together with the clinic-software easyVet a system was developed, in order to allow the veterinarians to check "on line" the current status of their samples and results.
In the course of this year also other sofware providers will be ready for this.
Dezember 2006
Home, sweet home: LABOKLIN leaves the old laboratory building after over 16 successful years in the Prinzregentenstraße, in downtown Bad Kissingen and moves into a new and modern laboratory in the industrial area where the old U.S.A. base was placed. The new LABOKLIN main lab will be now located at the Steubenstraße 4, Bad Kissingen.
